Remembrance Day Service

The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10.40am

The Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan, and the Chair of the London Assembly, Len Duvall OBE AM will join Assembly Members, representatives of the British Armed Forces and other special guests at a service of remembrance for those who have lost their lives fighting for their country.

Chair of the Oxford Street Development Corporation 

Confirmation Hearings Committee The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 3pm

The London Assembly will hold a confirmation hearing to assess Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan’s proposed appointment to Chair of the Oxford Street Development Corporation. The guest is:

  • Scott Parsons - proposed appointee to Chair of the Oxford Street Development Corporation

Following the hearing, the Confirmation Hearings Committee will make a recommendation to the Mayor as to whether they agree or reject the proposed appointment.

Road space, driving & congestion

Transport Committee The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am

In the Committee’s second meeting of its investigation into road space, driving and congestion, Assembly Members will ask questions about the types of freight in London, the impact of freight on London’s roads, freight consolidation and land use and use of other modes of transport for freight.  The guests are:

2028 Elections & NYE Fireworks

Members will discuss preparations for the 2028 Mayor of London and London Assembly Elections, London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks Event and the proposed shared services agreement between the GLA and the Oxford Street Development Corporation.

Declining number of children in London

The Committee will speak to experts about the longer term impacts a reducing number of children will have on London’s schools and wider economy, and how London can become a more ‘child-friendly city’.  Guests include:

What steps are being taken to keep Londoners safe and support the ongoing reform of the Metropolitan Police Service?  Assembly Members will ask questions on Policing in London.  The guests are:

Following the discussion, London Assembly Members will debate these motions.
