Neighbourhood Policing: the experience of young Londoners

Police and Crime Committee

The Police and Crime Committee will publish its report - Neighbourhood Policing: the experience of young Londoners – calling for the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) to commission and publish an annual, London-wide survey of children and young people on their sense of safety in and around schools, and their experiences of and confidence in policing.

GLA Oversight Committee 

In the wake of the Transport for London (TfL) cyber-attack in September 2024, the GLA Oversight Committee will publish its report on Cybersecurity within public sector organisations, which makes a number of recommendations.

Accessibility & Inclusion in Transport planning

Transport Committee

In 2023, an estimated 8.6 million public transport journeys took place in London every day but there are still some journeys which are too long, more difficult and less welcoming for some groups. The Transport Committee publishes a report that looks closely at how Transport for London (TfL) is building its understanding of how and why Londoner’s travel.

Renters' Rights Act in London

Housing Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm

The Housing Committee will meet to examine the potential impacts of the Renters’ Right Act on London’s private rented sector, and the practical challenges to ensuring its benefits are felt fairly across the capital.

Culture change in the Met

The Police and Crime Committee will meet to question the Deputy Mayor and MOPAC on how MOPAC oversees the required culture change in the Met, and how the Met engages with MOPAC and the London Policing Board on the culture change.  The guests are:

New Towns for London

Planning & Regeneration Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm

The Planning & Regeneration Committee will meet to explore how new towns will be delivered in practice, after the New Towns Taskforce has identified two potential sites in London - Crews Hill and Chase Park and Thamesmead Waterfront – which together could deliver up to 40,000 new homes.  The guests are:
