The Fire Committee will examine fire safety in London’s social housing, with a particular focus on how London Fire Brigade (LFB), social housing providers, regulators and other relevant partners are working to identify and respond to fire safety risks. Guests include:

Autonomous Passenger Vehicles
Transport Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am
The Transport Committee will focus on the potential impact of autonomous passenger vehicles on other road users, particularly vulnerable road users, children, older people and disabled people. The Committee will also hear from operators of autonomous passenger vehicles about their plans to launch their services in London this year.

Strategic licensing in London
Economy, Culture and Skills Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm
London is home to almost one fifth (17%) of licensed premises across England and Wales, with 36,000 venues in the capital alone, and with new powers for the Mayor set to shake up licensing in the city.
The Economy, Culture and Skills Committee will speak to guests about the Mayor’s upcoming strategic licensing pilot, and discuss with guests whether the pilot goes far enough to improve the experience of businesses in London, or if there a risk it will not go far enough.
