Met data shows that shoplifting offences in London have increased by approximately 35 per cent in the last six months, from 6,897 in February, to 9,421 in August.

The Police and Crime Committee will question the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime on the work being done to tackle shoplifting and retail crime in London, as well as Notting Hill Carnival and specialist police roles.

The Housing Committee will scrutinise the Mayor’s progress in ensuring that homes are completed under the existing Affordable Homes Programmes (AHP), and progress on designing the AHP 2026-36.
