The declining number of children in London report launch

Economy, Culture and Skills Committee

London is facing a significant demographic challenge, with the number of children living in London declining at a faster rate than elsewhere in the UK. A survey of Londoners found that almost a third (30 per cent) consider London to be an unsuitable place to raise children.

The Economy, Culture and Skills Committee will publish its report - A London for every child: Reversing the city’s declining child population – setting out steps for the Mayor to make London a child-friendly city.

The Committee will launch the report at Edith Neville Primary School, Camden, at 10am, on Friday 6 March.
