Environment forum – is London hitting its environmental targets?

Environment Committee – London’s Living Room, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 9.30am

Almost a decade on from the Mayor’s election pledge to make London the “greenest global city,” eight years since the London Environment Strategy was published, and four years until London’s net zero target. Yet, pressures from climate change, pollution, and the need to protect nature remain urgent.

Against this backdrop, the Environment Committee is taking stock of where London stands and where it needs to go next.

The event, with Londoners, policy experts and frontline environmental practitioners will be followed by a formal discussion at 12.15pm, in the Chamber at City Hall to hear from representatives about the discussions, and identify priority areas for further action.

MEDIA ARE INVITED TO ATTEND BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT
