The Police and Crime Committee will question the Deputy Mayor on new vetting regulations, the Met’s work to tackle phone theft, shoplifting, assaults on shop workers and the possible impact of the Government’s upcoming national spending review.

London Fire Commissioner Confirmation Hearing

Fire Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 1pm

The Fire Committee will meet to determine whether to hold a Confirmation Hearing on Friday, to assess the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s, proposed appointment to the office of London Fire Commissioner.  The proposed appointee is the current Deputy London Fire Commissioner, Jonathan Smith.
