London Fire Brigade training
Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am
Following the Independent Culture Review of London Fire Brigade (LFB) by Nazir Afzal OBE, the Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee will meet to review whether issues raised in the Independent Culture Review are being addressed by LFB through their training programme. The meeting will also explore whether LFB’s primary training contractor, Babcock International, is delivering the levels of training expected by the LFB.

Community Energy in London
Environment Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm
Since 2016, national government support for community energy schemes has fallen significantly, removing many of the incentives that were in place for community members to invest in these schemes.
The Environment Committee will meet to investigate community energy in London, how soaring energy prices have affected these schemes, and what the Mayor and Greater London Authority (GLA) are doing to increase community energy schemes across the capital.

The London Assembly will meet to discuss the current London Legacy Development Corporation’s (LLDC) Reduced Area Consultation.
The LLDC is currently consulting on proposals that the area covered by the LLDC should be reduced on 1 December 2024 to include only the core part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park estate in which LLDC owns, manages or operates land.
Assembly Members will take part in a question and answer session with LLDC on the proposed changes.

Urgent review required for Solar Together London
Solar Together London is a Mayoral collective purchasing initiative which was set up in 2019 and aims to increase the installation of domestic rooftop solar panels in London. However, the scheme has been marred by complaints from customers, with over 600 complaints received to date – 12 per cent of all customers.
The Environment Committee will publish a report with 18 recommendations to the Mayor and the GLA, including calling for an urgent review of the current Solar Together London contract with iChoosr.

Heathrow letter
Following an investigation by the London Assembly’s Environment Committee into light and noise pollution, the Committee will publish a letter to Heathrow Airport regarding their proposed expansion.
The letter outlines concerns raised by residents regarding the expansion, and also concerns of the Committee regarding a clear timetable for implementing the expansion, with recommendations to mitigate noise pollution.
