Assembly starts 25th Anniversary year with longest serving Member as Chair
In its first meeting of the new term, the London Assembly has today elected a new Chair and Deputy Chairman for the 25th Anniversary year ahead.
New Chair of the London Assembly, Len Duvall OBE AM said:
“This is a very special year for the London Assembly. As the only Member present when the Assembly was formed in 2000, it is a great honour and privilege to be chosen as Chair for the 25th Anniversary year. My heartfelt thanks go to Andrew Boff AM for Chairing during 2024-25.
“During the Anniversary year ahead, the London Assembly will continue to hold the Mayor to account on issues that matter most to Londoners. After 25 years of standing up for Londoners, we hope you will join us in marking this auspicious year.”
Andrew Boff AM has been elected as the new Deputy Chairman.
The Assembly also agreed the Membership and Chairs of a range of Committees to lead investigations into issues ranging from public transport to the Mayor’s budget.
