Assembly responds to HMICFRS inspection of London Fire Brigade
In response to HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service’s inspection of the London Fire Brigade, Hina Bokhari AM, Chair of the London Assembly Fire Committee, said:
“The London Assembly Fire Committee welcomes news that His Majesty’s Inspectorate has found significant progress from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) since the 2022 Review and that it is now delivering a much-improved service for Londoners.
“It is important that the LFB, with support from the Mayor of London, remains focussed on delivering further improvements – including efforts to ensure that its culture is that of a modern fire service which reflects the communities it serves.
“As the report notes, there is still work to be done to better manage staff performance and improve processes to tackle poor behaviour. The Committee will continue to scrutinise the LFB’s work and offer recommendations to help drive more progress in the months and years to come.”
