Assembly focus on TfL and Oxford St plans
At an all-Assembly meeting tomorrow, Members will ask how Transport for London (TfL) is delivering for London, and what its priorities and challenges are for 2025/26. The guests from 10am are:
- Sir Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, in his capacity as Chair of Transport for London (TfL)
- Andy Lord, Commissioner of TfL
From 1pm tomorrow, the Assembly will also consider the Mayor’s proposal to designate a Mayoral Development Area (MDA) for Oxford Street, and whether or not to reject the proposal.
By laying his Proposal for the designation of the MDA before the Assembly, the Assembly is afforded a 21-day period (the consideration period) within which to reject the area’s designation, if it votes to reject by a two-thirds majority of Assembly Members present and voting (abstentions are not included). A motion to reject the Proposal may be moved at the meeting in accordance with procedure.
- Will Norman - Walking and Cycling Commissioner
- Richard Watts - Mayor’s Deputy Chief of Staff
- Phil Graham - Executive Director, Good Growth, GLA
The meeting will take place on Thursday 3 July 2025 from 10am in the Chamber at City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, E16 1ZE.
Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE or later via webcast or YouTube.
