Biography
James was elected to represent West Central in May 2024. James was born in the constituency and has lived here his entire life. Prior to the London Assembly, James was elected to Westminster City Council to represent the Bayswater ward in May 2022.
On the council he has served as Deputy Cabinet Member for Planning & Economic Development. As a councillor James has provided funding for local youth clubs in his ward, set up the borough’s first design review panel and helped introduce a new Affordable Housing SPD.
Before working in politics, James worked at a food bank in his constituency and he currently serves as a trustee of the youth arts charity Paddington Arts.
