Make Votes Matter – cross party event

The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 4.30-6pm

A political culture that places the voices of young people front and centre is imperative, particularly now the voting age has been lowered to 16. 

In its 25th Anniversary year, the London Assembly is hosting a very special cross-party event in conjunction with Make Votes Matter.

Introduced by Len Duvall OBE AM, Chair of the London Assembly.

Declining number of children in London

Economy, Culture and Skills Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 11.15am

The Economy, Culture and Skills Committee will begin its investigation into current and projected trends relating to birth rates and the number of children in London.

It will also seek to find out the long-term impact a reduction in young people will have on London’s schools, businesses and wider economy.

Q&A with the Met and Deputy Mayor

The Police and Crime Committee will hold a Q&A session with the Met and the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime about the Charing Cross Panorama programme and protests in London.

Heathrow expansion proposals

The Environment Committee will explore the environmental impacts of expansion proposals at Heathrow Airport, focussing on noise, air quality and climate impacts of additional flights.
