FOI - Sanitation points [March 2020]

Key information

Request reference number: MGLA040320-4247

Date of response:

Summary of request

  1. How much and what type of asbestos do we breathe in on any given underground journey in London Underground network?
  2. Where tap in card stations and gated entrances and exits are on the travel network, overground, trains and underground. Should these pinch points that cause human bottlenecks be open to lower the risk of transmission of coronavirus from human-to-human? Should there be hand sanitation points, gloves or other appropriate Personal Protective Equipment issued to the public? Is that reasonably practicable? As the organisation is making money and looking after the health & safety of so many, do you believe there should be in place some simple guides/information given to the consumers so as to keep them informed as to the possible risks of death?
