FOI - NYE fireworks environment and financial costs

Please can you tell me the impact of the annual NYE fireworks in London, both in terms of the effect on the environment and financial costs. I love the fireworks but if there is a negative impact on the environment London must take a stand next year.  Money saved should be spent on climate change.
