FOI - Mayoral site visit at Wandsworth Town

Key information

Request reference number: MGLA161019-4941

Date of response:

Summary of request

FOIR: I would like to know the purpose of Khan's visit to Wandsworth today, I saw him visit near-finished developments near Enterprise Way between Wandsworth Town and Putney with a team of security.

The area is severely over populated and they have just announced the closure of both B&Q and Homebase to build more homes whilst the majority in the area are still empty. A one way street is also soon to be come a major junction with a bus route when there is one down the road.

I live in a high rise in the area and since moving in a year ago, two huge developments have almost been built in a frighteningly short amount of time.

Having seen his 'announcements' around Extinction Rebellion today - i would like to know why he is supporting over populating and pollution of the area.
