FOI - LDD industrial land in LB Southwark

Regarding the pipeline of release of industrial land in Southwark borough as at end 2014: Please provide a list of the 7 or 8 Southwark borough releases through LDD recorded planning approvals that are crudely indicated on Figure 2-22 (pages 77-78) of the London Industrial Land Supply & Economy Study of 2015, and totalled as 5.4 ha (Table 2-10, page 75). Also please provide details of the Housing Zone site/s stated as 0.1 ha (Table 2-10, page 75). 

 

Appendix A of the London Industrial Land Supply & Economy Study of 2015, at Approach, section titled Engagement with Boroughs / MDCs, TfL and GLA departments describes a process of issuing draft updated land use and policy position maps to boroughs, for them to verify that the updated position was correct to the best of their knowledge and advise of any corrections or forthcoming changes. Please share the correspondence between the GLA / their consultants and Southwark during this verification process and regarding this process. 

 

The reason for request 2 is that we have observed that the part of the 2015 Industrial Land Baseline covering Southwark includes substantial inaccuracies. These are of a type that could easily have been spotted with a simple check by someone with borough level knowledge. It is possible that no checking took place. We want to see the correspondence so that we can understand what sent wrong. If it went wrong in Southwark then perhaps it went wrong in other boroughs also, and hence it may be that the 2015 Industrial Land Baseline has major inaccuracies
