Summary of request
I see you have taken to cutting down the 150 year old 'Tree of the Year 2020' in Hackney. This seems to be an act of gross vandalism that you have permitted, especially having regard to your manifesto pledge ie
'Embark on a major tree-planting programme across London, in partnership with businesses and the public sector, with a particular focus on schools and colleges.'
So what is your excuse for this appalling act? A Housing project perhaps. Surely not when you have acres and acres of brown field sites available.
Whilst on the subject of trees, can you please update me on exactly how many trees you have had planted in each of the London Boroughs and which businesses, schools and colleges have been involved?
