The nrmm.london register was originally developed and maintained on behalf of the Greater London Authority by the Centre for Low Emission Construction, previously at King’s College London. The data collected between 2015 and 2020 allowed us to gain a far greater understanding of how and where non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) was being used in London to improve both the London, and UK, emission inventories and provide essential information to help inform future policy development. The NRMM register was taken back in-house by the GLA in early 2020.

XXXXXXX are requesting access to the data from the NRMM register for academic research purposes for the years 2020 and 2021 (so far) in an electronic format. We do not request any personal data that would identify an individual, or organisation, but require the construction site location (by postcode, borough and by Greater London and those operating inside the Central Activity Zone), machine numbers, machine type, engine size, engine stage, EU emission plate number and registered dates and duration of use. We would also like information on the machines that have been retrofitted (number and type) and exemption requests submitted to the GLA (numbers by machine type) and whether the requests have been accepted/rejected.
