The Mayor published London Enriched, his Strategy for Refugee Integration, in December 2009. It sets out to define and implement his vision for refugee integration in London. This vision sees refugees living in security and dignity, sharing with all Londoners the same chances for a decent quality of life and the opportunity to contribute to London and its development. The strategy will guide the implementation of this vision over the three-year period from 2009 to 2012. The strategy and accompanying documents are available to download was published in March 2011. It covers the period April 2011 to March 2012 and details how progress will be made towards the core objectives set out in London Enriched.
Consultation
The Mayor's strategy builds on the work done under the previous administration which published its draft strategy in July 2007, with a consultation period until October 2007. Many Londoners gave their views, through a range of events designed to attract people of all ages and backgrounds. The consultation report presents a summary of the views voiced by respondents.
