Your request
I would like to know what the planned budget for ULEZ extension advertising is until end of August 2023. How much is allocated for this in total. I guess therefore I would like to know the budget from April 22-April 23. Also what budget is planned for April 23 - April 24.

I can confirm that, as of 27 March 2023, the GLA holds the following information within the scope of your request:
In the financial year April 2022 – March 2023, the GLA spent:
- £119,865 on radio adverts
- No money was spent on newsprint
The GLA has a responsibility to communicate with Londoners and keep them informed about policies that impact them. These radio adverts helped drivers to understand if they were affected by the ULEZ, why it was expanding, and to help them to prepare by taking actions like using the TfL vehicle checker and accessing the Mayor’s scrappage scheme for support to replace their vehicle.
The following additional media was planned and booked ahead of the ULEZ launching in August 2023:
- Out of home advertising which started on 03 April 2023 and ran until 07 May 2023. The total cost of this was £42,302.77.
At the time of receiving this request, no further budget was planned from April 23 – April 24.
