I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Please provide the following:
- For each of the past five financial years (2019/20 to 2023/24), the number of different languages into which City Hall-produced documents, publications, and materials have been translated
- A list of those languages.
- For each language listed, whether the GLA holds any information or estimates on the number of London residents who speak that language as their first language or primary language at home.
If the information is already publicly available, please provide a link or reference to the relevant publication.
Response
Translation services are part of a multitude of services included as part of different agreements and so we do not hold a centralised figure for this specifically.

Transport for London (TfL) Procurement & Commercial carries out the majority of procurement activity on behalf of the GLA under a shared service agreement.
