I would like to ask for a freedom of information request regarding the mayor of london sponsorship at the HSBC championship. Please could you confirm how much the sponsorship cost & and who funded it, particularly whether it was tax payer money?
Our response
Mayor of London branding was displayed on boards around the court as part of a wider partnership with the LTA to promote women’s tennis and women’s sport across the capital. There was no GLA sponsorship of this event and neither the Mayor of London nor the GLA paid for this branding.
