Summary of request

Your request

The amount of money spent on Freuds Communications by City Hall since May 2019 (and
a breakdown of costs where appropriate – for example, different campaigns).

Our response

Since May 2019, the GLA has spent £67,000 with Freuds Communications for the
#LondonTogether campaign, which delivered key Covid-19 health guidance and behaviour
change communications in the immediate response to the pandemic. This campaign was
launched in March 2020 and this spend supported the GLA to meet the increased
communication demands of the pandemic, as well as helping to reach crucial audiences who were harder to reach through GLA owned or paid channels, with Covid-19 guidance and support.

The costs break down at £40,000 in agency fees and £27,000 in campaign production costs.

These costs were heavily discounted, with the agency offering an additional £60,000 work
pro bono. The full commercial value would have been £127,000.
