Q1) Has the Progress flag been flying from City Hall continuously (as inferred by the article) for those two years?

Q2) If the Progress flag has not been flown continuously, on what dates has the flag been flown?

Q3) Does the GLA consider that the Progress Flag is a flag that does not require consent (has "deemed consent") to be flown?

Q4) If yes to Q1 and No to Q3, can you direct me to the necessary consent obtained from the Planning Authority?

Q1) Has the Progress flag been flying from City Hall continuously (as inferred by the article) for those two years?

  • City Hall flies the Pride Progress flag to mark specific dates, it is not flown continuously.

 

Q2) If the Progress flag has not been flown continuously, on what dates has the flag been flown?

  • The flag is flown to mark LGBTQ+ History month in February, International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia in May and Pride weekend at the end of June.

 

Q3) Does the GLA consider that the Progress Flag is a flag that does not require consent (has "deemed consent") to be flown?

  • The GLA sought permission from Newham Council to fly the Pride Progress flag ahead of the occupation of our new headquarters in March 2022.

 

Q4) If yes to Q1 and No to Q3, can you direct me to the necessary consent obtained from the Planning Authority?
