Key information

Request reference number: MGLA300823-5301

Date of response:

Summary of request

Your request

In the first 24 hours of the ULEZ please state how many people paid the charge and how many fines were issued.

Provide the same data published for each day of the first month of operation.

Can we then revisit the claim that 90% of vehicles are compliant?

Our response

Charges and fines

The GLA does not hold this information. Transport for London (TfL) is the Mayor's transport
authority and is responsible for implementing the Mayor's Transport Strategy, and for the
design, procurement, delivery and operational running of road user charging schemes such as the ULEZ.

You may wish to send a further request to TfL at [email protected]

Compliance

TfL estimates that 9 in 10 cars seen driving in outer London on an average day meet the ULEZ standards. This figure includes all vehicles seen driving in the zone, regardless of where they are registered.
