Freedom of Information request - Notting Hill Carnival 2018 and 2022 - Demographics

I want to submit a Freedom of Information (FOI) request regarding the demographics for Notting Hill Carnival 2018 and 2022 events.

I want to read and understand the stats and then work with the police to help reduce problems during the events days.

Please accept this communication as a request for the  FOI to develop and create community strength.

Our response:

I can confirm that the GLA holds information within the scope of your request.

The information we located all relates to the 2018 event.

The GLA is able to release the following reports today.

• ICM Unlimited Notting Hill Carnival 2018 GLA events research (September 2018)
• ICM Unlimited Notting Hill Carnival Topline 2018
• The Audience Agency Notting Hill Carnival 2018 Audience Evaluation report

Please note that some names and images are exempt from disclosure under s.40 (Personal information) of the Freedom of Information Act. This information would identify specific people and as such constitutes personal data which is defined by Article 4(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual. It is considered that disclosure of this information would contravene the first data protection principle under Article 5(1) of GDPR which states that Personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
