Summary of request
Your request
- How many employees in your organisation work from home (work from home being more than 5 hours per day) more than once a week?
- The number of employees in your organisation and, of these, the number able to perform their work remotely (not those who are front-line workers) and the number who have started returning to in person work.
- What percentage of time, per week, are employees in your organisation entitled to work from home?
Our response
- The GLA does not record staff attendance specifically, so the GLA does not hold specific data in scope of your request. However, most GLA staff are expected to adopt hybrid working with a mix of office-based and home working, meaning the majority of employees will work from home at least once a week. Most GLA staff can work remotely except those whose work requires them to be in the building, for example, security staff.
- The GLA regularly publishes staff numbers in the workforce reports. As above, the GLA does not hold specific data on the number of staff who are able to perform their roles remotely.
- There is not a set limit or percentage but in most cases the expectation would be a split of 2 or 3 days in the office and 2 or 3 days working from home. However, this is determined locally by managers and teams dependant on their work requirements.
