FOI - GLA utilities invoices [Nov 2023]

Would you please be able to provide copy invoices for electricity, gas and water supplied to GLA owned or operated, non-residential property for 2021, 2022 and 2023? 

Our response

Please find attached utility invoices for City Hall held for the period April 2022 to November 2023. There are no invoices dated earlier than April 2022 as the GLA did not occupy City Hall at this time.

Please note that we have redacted some financial information from the documents relating to the energy provider, Laser Energy, in line with section 31(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act. Section 31(1)(a) of the Act provides for an exemption from disclosure of information which would prejudice the prevention or detection or crime. 

There is a strong public interest in preventing crime and not making available information that would primarily benefit anyone seeking to cause harm. In this case and at this time, we find that the balance of the public interest favours maintaining the exemption provisions of section 31(1)(a) in relation to the redacted information.
