Your request

I would like a breakdown of the total cost to the council over each of the last five financial years for:

1. Recorded messages on the council's telephone services (including a brief
description of what was recorded).

2. On-hold music used on the council's telephone services (including details of song
names and artists).

Our response

Our response relates to the Greater London Authority, which is London's strategic government and does not operate in the same way as local councils. 

The GLA has an out of hours recorded message that states that the office is closed and advises alternate ways of getting in touch and accessing information.

Costs related to this are as follows:

2020/21 £2060
2021/22 £2060

The GLA does not use on-hold music.
