Your request

  • Documents referring to the evaluation of the data platform and the operational decision to use Welund. I believe this was undertaken by junior officials of the GLA.
  • Please also provide any brochures, leaflets, catalogues or similar provided by Welund. 

Our response

Please find below and attached the information we hold within the scope of your request.

  • Extract of email from GLA officer to Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Strategy and Communications on 13 March 2020 attached (the extract relates to the decision on Welund ADD2440).
  • Attachment to email of 13 March 2020; Draft Decision document ADD2440 attached (the final signed and dated version appears on GLA website at the above link).
  • Two Mayoral Questions located where the content relates to the decision to use Welund.

This information is also published online at 2020/3795 and at 2020/3796.

We have not located any brochures, leaflets, catalogues or similar documents.

The lead officers responsible for the procurement have since left the GLA and as such, we no longer have access to any records that were held solely in their personal drives or email accounts.

This information could potentially identify specific employees and as such constitutes personal data which is defined by Article 4(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual. It is considered that disclosure of this information would contravene the first data protection principle under Article 5(1) of GDPR which states that personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
