I am writing to you to request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information:
• The total number of air miles travelled by the Mayor of London between the 1st of January 2023 and up until today (6th November 2024)
• The cost of, or value of, any flights taken by the Mayor of London during the above period.
Response:
I can confirm that the GLA holds information within the scope of your request.
The Mayor travelled by air on four occasions between 1 Jan 2023 and 6 Nov 2024, as follows:
1. Return flight to New York in September 2023
Cost published in the Mayor’s gifts and hospitality register.
2. Return flight to Rome in May 2024
Cost of flights: £390.34.
3. Return flight to New York in September 2024
The GLA does not hold information on costs related to this part of your request. However, the GLA holds information about the combined value of flights and accommodation which can be found in the gifts and hospitality register.
The GLA does not hold the total number of airmiles travelled for these flights but there are online tools available that can calculate this for you.
4. Return flight to Edinburgh in October 2024
As these flights were booked by the GLA, we hold information on costs and mileage, as set out below.
