FOI - Estate regeneration ballots [Feb 2023]

Since July 2018, London estate regeneration schemes involving the demolition of existing homes have been required to ballot residents in order to receive GLA grant funding.

For each ballot since the policy was introduced, can you provide a breakdown of every 
type of tenure (assured, intermediate rent, shared owner, affordable rent etc) that was 
eligible to vote?

Our response

We do not collect data on the tenure type of homes demolished or within estates that are 
subject to ballots.

We do publish a list of the estates on which providers have reported to us that ballots have yielded a vote in favour of regeneration proposals.

You may wish to contact the boroughs or housing providers listed on the link above to find out more information about the tenure profile of eligible residents on these estates.

Please also note 8.4 of the Resident Ballot Requirement, which sets out which residents are eligible to vote.
