Request: 

What is the total number of staff hired in a diversity, equity or inclusion role? I would like information for those currently on staff and for any vacancies you may currently have. What is the total annual salary cost for these? 

 

Response:

The Greater London Authority has a dedicated Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team within its paid service provision, sat within its People Function.  This team consists of 7 roles, all of which specific focuses on promotion of the organisations core internal EDI objectives. 

These roles are detailed below:

Culture, Values and Wellbeing Specialist Occupied

EDI Adviser Vacant
Senior Project Officer - Inclusion Programme x3

The total annual cost of salary, allowance and pension contributions for these 7 roles is £419,864 (inclusive of the vacant position). 

The GLA does have other roles that reference Diversity, Equity or Inclusion within the job title, but these are not within the organisation's human resources provision.
