Summary of request

Your request

I wondered if you could send me the article about the COVID19 vaccine *not* being
compulsory. It seems to now be unpublished - which I find quite interesting.

Our response

The web page in question was published on 15 January 2021 and unpublished on 22 July 2021. When you originally wrote in requesting this information on 23 July 2021, several FAQs were unpublished in coordination with the lifting of Covid restrictions on the 19 July 2021.

Please find below the information we hold within the scope of your request.

Will the vaccine be compulsory?

The UK government has confirmed that vaccine will not be compulsory. In UK law there are
no vaccines that are mandatory.

The vaccine is an important way to help end the pandemic, safeguard our most vulnerable, and protect ourselves, our families and communities. When making your decision about the
vaccine, you should read the information provided to you by the NHS and other reliable
sources and if you are unsure, talk to those you trust such as friends or family when making
your decision.

If you have any further questions relating to this matter, please contact me, quoting the
reference MGLA260721-9193.
