Summary of request
Your request
Please disclose, preferably by pdf, a copy of any journalist enquiry received by the Press Office for the Mayor related to policing of the Coronation and, where applicable, the identity of the media organisation on each communication.
I am not necessarily seeking the identity of individual freelance journalists or other journalists who have not identified the publication or broadcaster they work for, but seek the publications or organisations to be identified in relation to what has been received from them.
This request obviously includes communications received (by the Press Office or members of the Press Office in emails, text messages or other messages stored on services such as WhatsApp) from journalists in the week leading up to the Coronation, as well as any received on Coronation Day or the few days since the Coronation took place.
Our response
Please find attached copies of the information we hold within the scope of your request.
Please note that some names of members of staff are exempt from disclosure under s.40 (Personal information) of the Freedom of Information Act. This information would identify specific employees and as such constitutes as personal data which is defined by Article 4(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual.
It is considered that disclosure of this information would contravene the first data protection principle under Article 5(1) of GDPR which states that Personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
If you have any further questions relating to this matter, please contact us, quoting the reference MGLA110523-7125.
