Your request

Can you tell me how much money is given each year to C40 Cities from City Hall?

Our response

C40 Cities is a network of mayors collaborating to deliver the urgent action needed right now to confront the climate crisis. It presents an opportunity for cities to learn from each other and share best practice.

We can confirm that no regular payments are made from the Greater London Authority to C40 Cities.

Since 2016, the following payments have been made to C40 Cities to cover programmes such as calculating the number of green jobs in London, reviewing London’s Climate Action Plan and skilling up the environmental workforce in London:

2016 £17,339.30
2017 £3,700.00
2018 £2,476.00
2019 £462.37
2020 £0
2021 £0
Total £23,977.67
