FOI - Architecture and Urbanism (A+U) framework [Jul 2026]

I am trying to get hold of the names of all the practices selected for the Architecture and Urbanism (A+U) framework who have won work since the framework was set up in February 2023. 

My request asks for the number of projects that each practice has successfully tendered for [under the lots 1-10] and the amounts paid to each practice/tender*. Could we also get the data on the amounts paid to practices working outside of London, but procured through this framework?

Our response

Please find below the following two tables. The first addresses request 1-3. The second addresses request 4.

Table 1

54% of projects have been awarded to diverse-led* suppliers. 

46% of projects have been awarded to small suppliers, and 27% awarded to micro suppliers. *‘diverse-led’; defined as a supplier that has 50% or more of its leadership who identify with being female, Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, disabled and/or as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

The data provided in Table 1 includes the total number of projects awarded and the total fees paid to each practice per Lot.

The GLA only has access to the consultant fees paid to practices that have signed the A+U Framework Agreement and are therefore members of the A+U Framework. As such, we are unable to monitor any sub-consultancy or consortium arrangements involving practices that have not signed the A+U call-off contract with the buyer.

It is also important to note that the reported data relies on buyers completing a procurement summary form once their call-off process has concluded. As a result, the procurement stages presented in the tables may not reflect all projects that have been awarded to suppliers if the buyer has not yet submitted the procurement summary form.

Can you confirm something though? It appears that a couple of teams/architects have actually gone down in value (from when we last reported the figures in April 2025). How could that be?

• muf architecture/art (last April) £141,819.35 (now) £123,244.35 –£18,575.00 

Also, the Karakusevic Carson-led consortium seems not to have made any further money/not had any contracts at all since 2025, despite being the highest earner the last time we reported on the figures.

Having reviewed the procurements and data previously shared, the supplier has been awarded two procurements of the value of: 

• £394,664.59 
• £62,250.00

These figures added together equal £456,914.59 This total figure of the two procurements matches the figure provided for the 2025 FOI request* and the current FOI request.

muf architecture/art 

Please note a procurement award to the supplier in FY 24/25 has subsequently been terminated. 

The contract was awarded to the second highest scoring supplier. This procurement was a value of £66,975.00

The supplier has been awarded two procurements in FY 25/26 for the value of: 

• £40,000.00 
• £8,400.00 

The total amount of fees awarded equal £123,244.35 

The difference is -£18,575.00 due to the terminated contract.

Karakusevic Carson-led consortium 

The supplier has not been awarded contracts in financial year 25/26. 

The supplier has been awarded contracts in FY 23/24 and 24/25, with two procurements being of large value as per the breakdown table below:
