Our response
We currently have 10 GLA employees undertaking an apprenticeship and 26 vacancies we are recruiting to at present.
0.7% of our current overall workforce are filled by staff undertaking apprenticeships however, if we are able to recruit to our vacant apprentice positions then the total would be 2.7%.
The GLA does not hold the specific information that you have requested regarding university graduates.
The educational level or graduate status of GLA employees is not information that we regularly report on or can extract from the corporate record.
Although the GLA does receive some data about the education history of its employees (and potential employees) through the recruitment process, this personal data is kept for a limited time and a limited purpose. To further collect or process these records would contravene the first data protection principle under Article 5(1) of GDPR which states that personal data must be processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
