Your request 

Please provide the total amount of ringfenced funds currently held by your authority from underspends in all previous years for the Adult Education Budget (AEB)/Adult Skills Fund (ASF). This should include:

  1. The total value of AEB/ASF underspends retained by the authority to date.
  2. A breakdown of the financial years these underspends relate to.

Notes for AEB/ASF Cumulative Reserve

Yearly underspend is retained by GLA and provides the cumulative reserve to support ASF delivery in future years. The GLA fully commits ASF funding each year.

Where there are unspent funds in any year, these amounts are carried forward and committed to future ASF delivery.

There are currently no uncommitted reserves as ring fenced reserves are committed towards 2024/25 growth in delivery, support for the reduction in the 2025-26 ASF budget allocation and commissioned provision from 2026-27.
