Summary of request

Your request

Please can you tell me how many trees Mayor Sadiq Khan's office is responsible for planting in London since he became Mayor?

Our response

The Mayor has funded the planting of 352,871 trees since he became Mayor in 2016.

This includes trees planted in London with funding from Mayoral tree planting programmes and grant schemes, and through GLA regeneration and housing schemes. It also includes trees planted by Transport for London (TfL) on their TfL Road Network.

We do not hold data related to the number of trees planted by local authorities with their own funding, or trees planted by individual homeowners, other public bodies, developers or businesses.

If you have any further questions relating to this matter, please contact us, quoting reference MGLA070322-6202.
