Your request
I refer to the All London Green Grid Supplementary Planning Document and its ALGG key London green spaces map on page 125.
The Department for Levelling Up, Communities and Housing says in terms of its National Planning Policy Framework duty, that for them South Kilburn Public Open Space is visible as being on the All London Green Grid for strongest green protection and investment (map on page 125).
I can see a tiny blur/smudge there on this map myself, but everyday lived realities on the ground, such as Brent proposing to build on its woodland area in late 2022 or green agencies for 22 regeneration years total non engagement would suggest other ideas instead?
Please can you present a more detailed mapping of SKPOGS on ALGG map to clarify this green life or green death matter.
Our response
Detailed mapping of open space, including South Kilburn Public Open Space can be found on both the GLA’s Planning Datamap: Planning Data Map (london.gov.uk) and Brent’s Policies Map: Brent Local Plan 2022 Policies Map
Both maps indicate that South Kilburn Public Open Space is designated as an ‘other open space’, which is a local designation.
