Our response
- The first part of your FOI refers to Mayoral intervention. This appears to relate to the Mayor’s Stage 2 decision-making powers, which include allowing the Local Planning Authority (LPA) to determine the application, directing the LPA to refuse it, or calling in the application for the Mayor’s determination. This decision point arises only once the application has been formally referred to the Greater London Authority (GLA) by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC). At present, no such referral has been made. Once a referral does occur, details will be published on our website.
- This part of your request is quite broad, as the sites have been subject to development considerations for a long time. It is unlikely that we hold material beyond what is already published on the Local Planning Authority’s (LPA) website. Relevant information is unlikely to be captured within internal communications and is more likely to be contained within the standalone documents already publicly available. When considering this matter, we would therefore refer to the documents published on the LPA’s website. By way of example, these include the Contamination Technical Response, various Ground Conditions and Contamination Annexes, and Chapter 19: Environmental Management, Mitigation and Monitoring, all of which can be accessed via the Document List (you can search by “contamination” to filter the results): Document List
