  • LFB has confirmed that the fire was brought under control by 19:25, however crews will remain on scene throughout the evening to fully extinguish the fire and dampening down
  • One person was treated by LAS for smoke inhalation at the scene
  • Approximately 30 residents have been relocated to St Johns Church, Hackney and are being supported by the Local Authority
  • Dalston Lane remains closed from Lower Clapton Road to Amhurst Road, and six bus routes (38, 55, 106, 253, 254, 242) remain on diversion.

  • LFB remain on scene where 20% of the roof, of the low rise residential building comprising of four floors, remains alight
  • Crews are being supported at the scene by a 32 metre turntable ladder, two jets, two hose reels and four breathing apparatus
  • All persons are now accounted for and no injuries reported
  • The cause of the fire is unknown at this time
  • Dalston Lane remains closed between Pembury Road and Lower Clapton Road, and eight bus routes have been placed on diversion.

  • LFB is currently responding with fifteen pumps to a residential fire on Dalston Lane in Hackney
  • The building alight is understood to be a maisonette
  • At this stage, no injuries have been reported however there are persons reported unknown • LAS and MPS are also currently at the scene.

Subject: Fifteen Pump Fire in the London Borough of Hackney

Fifteen Pump Fire Persons Reported: in the London Borough of Hackney This notification is to make you aware that this evening on 5th June 2024 the Brigade was called to a Fifteen Pump Fire Persons Reported at Dalston Lane E8. Fifteen Fire engines and around one hundred firefighters are attending the incident, which is a low-rise residential block of flats of four floors, sixty metres by fifteen metres, thirty percent of roof alight . Approximately thirty residents have been relocated to St Johns Church, Hackney. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Unit.
