Summary of request
I am writing to refine and narrow my request so that it can be met within the Section 12 cost limit. Rather than grant-payment-level information for every project, I am only seeking scheme-level summary information for schemes confirmed under the three main Mayoral affordable housing programmes:
- AHP 2011–2015
- AH 2015–2018
- AHP 2016–2023
This mirrors the approach taken by Homes England, which has publicly released scheme-level datasets for the same programmes. (E.g. Affordable Homes Programme 2021 to 2026 summary to end of March 2025 - GOV.UK confirmed by Homes England to end of March 2025”)
To minimise burden, I am happy to receive the most unfiltered, raw data you hold in digital format for these confirmed schemes. A simple data extract/data dump is absolutely fine. I am not asking you to retrieve or verify historic records scheme-by-scheme, liaise with delivery partners, or create new analyses. In line with the type of disclosure already available for England, I would like (where held) the following columns:
- Minimum Geography
- Local Authority
- Lead Partner / Lead Organisation
- Developing Organisation
- Scheme Description
- Heading (i.e. tenure)
- Sub-product Description
- Grant confirmation date
- Funding (£)
- Homes
If some of these fields are not held for London programmes, please provide the closest equivalent fields used internally and/or release the dataset with whatever subset of these variables is readily extractable.
Our response
The refined request and amended scope of this request is still beyond the time frame for responding to FOIs, however the GLA is preparing information for the London Assembly which may be helpful as a proxy for the wider information you have requested.
Attached is a scheme list of projects that started on site since 2015 and information about schemes that have now completed. Our statistics can be restated if necessary, and may be subject to change.
The scheme list is aggregated for projects that are small sites (5 homes or less) to protect privacy of individual in those homes, the list will also aggregate scheme information for sites that are for supported housing or vulnerable, specialist groups.
Details of funding by development partner are provided on the GLA website along with the date the funding was approved and the programme in which the allocation was approved.
We consider that the following information is exempt from disclosure under Regulation 12 (5)(a) (…public safety), 12(5)(e) (Commercial or industrial information) and Regulation 13 (Personal Information):
- Scheme descriptions which identify individual properties or small projects which may infer properties intended for social housing (and therefore the economic status of the residents) or peoperties intended for safeguarding persons at risk.
- Levels of funding.
