Biography

Responsible for leading and co-ordinating an effective Member-led scrutiny and investigation process, through the development of the work of the London Assembly’s scrutiny committees. Developing and managing a comprehensive and co-ordinated programme of scrutiny reviews to:  

• influence the development of the Mayor’s strategies, decisions and policies;  
• monitor and review performance and service delivery of the Greater London Authority and Functional Bodies; 
• using feedback from London government stakeholders, the media and the public, to demonstrably enhance the impact and reputation of the London Assembly; and  
• promote the well-being of London

Ensuring outstanding performance from the Scrutiny function, maximising capacity and developing a dynamic culture focused on outcomes, as well as enabling value for money from the Assembly budget and commissioning quality consultancy to assist in effective scrutiny.
