Carol singing in Trafalgar Square
The Greater London Authority (GLA) offers one-hour carol singing sessions at the base of the Christmas Tree in Trafalgar Square throughout December.
To preserve the traditional atmosphere of carol singing, no stage or public announcement system is provided. This creates a more authentic, intimate, and enjoyable experience for both performers and visitors, while complementing the festive character of Trafalgar Square.
These sessions are exclusively for carol singing and must not be used for any other activity, performance, promotion, or event.
Apply to sing carols
The application deadline is Friday 6 November 2026.

We will accept carol singing applications from Thursday 27 August 2026 until all the slots have been filled or application deadline, whichever comes first.
We will notify applicants of their confirmed date by Friday 13 November 2026.
