Petition presented by: Murad Qureshi
Date petition submitted: Wednesday 12 September 2012
Petition presented at: London Assembly Plenary
Summary of petition
“In 2007, Brentford parents approached Brentford councillors with their concerns about safety on the A4.
Brentford councillors identified sums of money totalling over £500,000 from recent planning applications that could be spent on these improvements.
After five years, no serious work has taken place.
We call on the Mayor of London and Transport for London to begin work immediately on making the A4 crossings in Brentford safer.”

“Dear Murad
Thank you for the petition presented to the London Assembly plenary meeting on 12 September about the A4 crossing in Brentford.
I understand you wrote to Peter Hendy about this issue in July and that Leon Daniels, Managing Director of Surface Transport, responded to you on 23 October. I have read his reply which explains what Transport for London is doing to improve safety on the pedestrian crossing on the A4 in Brentford.
Thank you again for writing to me.”
