Health Impact Assessment of Air Pollution on Asthma in London

This report uses previous studies to provide a modelled estimate of the impact of air pollution in London on asthma admissions.

The report finds over 4,000 Londoners were hospitalised from 2014 - 2016 in three years due to harmful air pollution, an average of around 1,000 London hospital admissions for asthma and serious lung conditions every year. Between 2014-16, a quarter of those admitted with airway diseases were children under 14 with asthma.
