Hosted by Prince Abdi, Londoner and stand-up comedian, with keynote speaker David Blood (Generation Investment), panel chairs Deputy Mayor Shirley Rodrigues and Jonathan Rowson (Perspectiva), and expert speakers Ben Caldecott (Smith School of Environment and Enterprise), Deirdre Duff (MedAct), Kelly Trout (Oil Change International), the Big Exchange, and Lewisham Councillor Sakinha Sheikh, with closing remarks from Mark Campanale (Carbon Tracker).



Two expert panels and roundtable discussions looking at why and how DivestInvest helps avoid dangerous climate change and accelerate the transition to clean energy. This event is for financial decision makers and influencers from across London in all sectors including local authorities, churches, museums, mosques, royal colleges, NHS Trusts, synagogues, universities, foundations and asset managers.

As we face the extreme threats of climate change and the opportunities presented by technological progress and falling costs of clean energy, there is only one socially and economically acceptable option: to keep fossil fuels in the ground. We will bring to life how DivestInvest is a key tool for accelerate a fair transition to zero carbon in time and safeguard investors’ interests.



Join us at 1.00pm for a networking lunch, with the first panel discussion beginning at 1.30pm looking at why DivestInvest is needed, and its potential for accelerating climate action. This is followed by a roundtable discussion and a second panel where the practical aspects of DivestInvest will be explored. The event will end by 4.15pm with further opportunity for networking until 5pm.
